Two weeks later and only about half of our Roma Tomato seedlings remain. Fortunately, our little survivors seem to be doing great! You can go here and here to see what they looked like a couple weeks ago.

I've collected multiple HS soccer, club soccer and college sweatshirts over the years. Rather than let them take up any more space in my closet I've decided to make a sweatshirt quilt. I figure it will be a nice way to preserve those memories while making these sweatshirts functional again.

Ruby, John and True came over for dinner last night. Halfway through the evening I found this sneaker sacked out on our bed. By the look on his face I think he's questioning whether or not he's allowed up there. Seriously, who could deny that face....

Life: Baking Cookies Is No Joke...

The process...

Featuring some of Gram's vintage cookie cutters and the rolling pin my grandfather made for me when I was a kid.

Using the squeeze-bottle frosting technique made me feel like a 5yo writing my name for the first time.

And, as it turned out...doubling the recipe was TOTALLY unnecessary.
photo.jpg

But, it was all worth the effort...(trying to hide this multi-day project from Farilla did get a little tricky).
photo.jpg

I stopped counting after a while but I think I ended up with about 4 or 5 dozen delectable surprises for Farilla on V-day. If you stop in for a visit any time this week rest assured that we'll be sending you home with a few of these beauties!

Humor: Why Would He/She...

After reading the hilariously odd results from not-your-average-suzie's google inquiries as to "Why...?" I couldn't resist digging a little deeper...

Why would she...
why would she

Why would he...
why would he

I guess Mars and Venus aren't that different afterall.

The seeds in one of my Roma tomatoes from Trader Joes started to germinate (if that's the correct term) inside the fruit. I harvested all the seeds. Wrapped them in a wet paper towel and placed them on the sill. Two weeks later many of the seeds have full on roots and leaves so we decided it was time to plant. We'll see how this experiment goes. Stay tuned.
