Burning Man 2012: Homeslice Sign

For the first time in the 13 years I've been camping with Homeslice at Burning Man we have a proper sign! A huge thanks goes out to Sassafras for enlarging and tracing out the design pattern, ModMan for adding the detailing to the banner, my Dad for all of the woodworking, framing and general problem solving and the Hubs for seeing this project through to the very end with me! Last but not least a very special shout out goes to Shawn Brown (R.I.P) who designed our original flaming toast logo about 12 years ago. You may be gone but you're never far from our thoughts.

(Repost) DIY: Custom Wood Ceremonial Wine/Letter Time Capsule

My Dad at Osprey Wood Designs was commissioned by a bride to create a wood wine box for her upcoming wedding ceremony in Hawaii.  Along with a bottle of their favorite wine, the bride and groom will include handwritten love letters to each other in this beautifully handcrafted Ceremonial Time Capsule.

DIY: Body Harness With Breast Plate

While this isn't the first harness I've made it's definitely my favorite. Larger gauge chain is the way to go. And two sets of needle nose plyers makes all the difference when spreading the jump rings. Fortunately this one fits perfectly over my head and shoulders so there's no need for clasps.
