Photos: Granite Pass It On :: October 2009

There was...
a legendary wedding with epic vows,
a unicorn, butterfly, fairy, queen, empress & raven,
a gazillion twinkling stars,
face melting beats late into the morning hours,
tamales, S'mores, cupcakes & pancakes,
fire....blazing rings of fire
& an outpouring of LOVE!

Come what may...

Congrats to my beautiful friends. Thank you for inviting us to be a part of your ceremony. You inspire us daily! So Say We All!

Due to my role in this incredible event I didn't get the opportunity to snap many pics. To see the few moments I was able to capture click here. (NOTE: Out of respect for the Bride and Groom's privacy only friends and family will be able to view these photos in toto.)

Photos: Our Nor Cal Foothill Adventure :: September 2009

Last month I took Farilla on his inaugural trip to that place I called home for the first 18 years of my life. Rather than driving him around town to show off the many local strip malls my parents took us on a Nor Cal Foothill adventure which went a little something like this...

Knights Ferry, CA:
Knights Ferry, CA: Still Standing
(The Mill)

Knights Ferry, CA: Pickle
(My nephew, Nicholas.)

Knights Ferry, CA: Longest Covered Bridge West of the Mississippi
(Longest covered bridge west of the Mississippi.)

Knights Ferry, CA: Stanislaus River

Jamestown, CA:
Jamestown, CA: Road Rash

Sonora, CA:
Sonora, CA: Diamondback Grill
(Diamondback Grill)

Sonora, CA:

Columbia State Historic Park:
Columbia, CA: State Historic Park

Columbia, CA: Gold Rush Country

Yosemite National Park:
Yosemite National Park: He's In Heaven

Yosemite National Park: Half Dome
(Half Done)

We had a great visit up north and we're very thankful for our my parents, our tireless tour guides. Our afternoon in Yosemite inspired us to immediately make reservations for a longer visit to The Park (which we did last week). Pics from our more recent Yosemite adventure to follow. When we were up here a couple of weeks ago these falls weren't even running. This is run-off from the first snow fall of the season.

The bears were very active last night. I sat and listened to them trying to get into out neighbor's bear box for a few minutes before they finally moved on. This morning I stood on the steps of our tent cabin and had a staring contest with a deer. If you're wondering where the wild things are then just come to Yosemite!
