Photography: Practically Famous!

Schmap: Seattle's Olympic Sculpture Park
While I was away at the Burn I was notified by Emma Williams at Schmap that my image of Richard Serra's sculpture, Wake, taken at Seattle's Olympic Sculpture Park was selected to be included in their Seattle Guide.

Photos: Dance Spot Performance & Photo Show

Last night was the long-awaited
DanceSpot at Studio A Dance.  My friend and show Producer, Miss Beth, has been asking me for months to participate in DanceSpot's monthly visual and performing arts collaboration as the featured LaBarre Lounge Artist.  Yes, it's taken a while, but she finally wore me down!  ;-)

It was fun to watch as people perused my images.  The (photo) show favorite was my Projection Triptych taken a coupe of years ago at a Bliss Tribe outing in Granite Pass.  Most people don't really know what to make of that sequence of images.  With good reason...

All-in-all I'm super grateful for the opportunity.   Thanks again, Miss B, for your persistence!

The night was filled with many stellar performances but honestly it was SO moving to see Beth dance again!  Brava, Lady!  You and Heather did an AMAZING job!  So thrilled that I was able to be a part of your special night.

I'd especially like to thank all of our friends who came out to support us.  I know I speak for Beth, as well, when I say we love you all and are thankful to have you in our lives!  Your support of our creative ventures means the world to us!

You can view a few more shots from the evening here.

Art: DanceSpot Performance and Photo Show!

My sister by soul, Miss Beth, has been busy producing and choreographing (a segment in) the first DanceSpot of 2008. She has graciously invited me to show my work in the Le Barre Lounge at Studio A during the evening of this event. It's worth mentioning that January's DanceSpot will also highlight Beth's first official performance since the birth of her son. And it's no surprise that Miss B has drawn inspiration for her upcoming performance through this beautiful Little Light that has entered into her world! w00t!

As usual, DanceSpot is expected to sell out. If you're interested in joining us for an evening filled with diverse dance performances and visual arts it's suggested that you
reserve your tickets ($15) now by either email (StudioADance@aol.com) or phone (323.661.8311).
