Last weekend we started making something similar to this vertical garden but on a much smaller scale. So far so good. Stay tuned...

As seen on the streets of Culver City. Apparently this fine piece of art-chinery debuted at Burning Man this year. It's electric with a 20 mile range. And it can go up to 30 mph. Oh, and it's made out of wood, plexi and rope.

Air Plants

The Air Plants I purchased on Etsy from seller Chicweed finally have homes thanks to a trip to CB2 yesterday afternoon.  I absolutely love our new little space aliens.

Wish List: Han Solo Frozen in Carbonite Desk

[Thanks, Jimmoi!]

I've been searching for a new desk! If this was only about $5,000 cheaper I'd consider it the winner! You can read more about this scifi-tastic creation (and it's creator) here.

Wish List: Shoe Organization

Okay internet, I'm desperately searching for a cabinet like the one pictured above. The shoe fetish has gotten OUT OF CONTROL. This cabinet would help get things back in order. If you run across anything like this let me know! Thanks & Love!

My New Kicks!

I've never been a huge fan of the stark white running shoes readily available on the market. As a (now retired) soccer player I've always sought out Adidas cross trainers or trail runners which come in beige or gray and don't show wear as quickly as their white counterparts. So, you can imagine how excited (yet torn, with respect to *years* of Adidas brand-loyalty) I was when J gifted me with a gift card that could be used to design my own NikeiD running shoes (totally compatible with my Nano and Nike+)!

I took my time designing my new Kicks to make sure they were exactly what I wanted. I started with a beige base color much like my current fave Adidas cross trainers but ultimately graduated to black. Yes, my design (pictured above) is completely non-traditional but if you know me then that makes PERFECT sense.

One week and four revisions later I finally felt ready to click that "Add to Cart" button. Since my new sneaks are indeed custom they will take an excruciatingly long 3-4 weeks to arrive. The anticipation is killing me....
