Politics: ModMan, Ink - Spark

The Fire Starters...
The Fire Starters

A couple of weeks ago I blogged about the making of ModMan's Obama In 30 Seconds submission.  An update from ModMan:

"MoDMaN is busy, MoDMaN is making movies for FlowTown Films, MoDMaN likes talking in third person today... The latest video we've done is a political advertisement for Barack Obama's campaign. It's part of the MoveOn.org contest to create a 30 second spot that they will air on national television. Please take a minute and watch [and vote for] the "Spark" video here.

The contest will have several criteria for advancing a video to the final rounds but one of them is the number of views, so if you like what I've created pass this on to friends who might be interested. It's a cool concept to get people involved and I'm very blessed to have had the support of friends and associates who helped it come together in the first place."

Quite spectacular....Bravo!

Art: Sam Flores- Obama Hope Print

Sam Flores has, once again, teamed up with Upper Playground to offer this limited edition Hope print in support of Barack Obama's presidential campaign.  This print is currently available through the Upper Playground site for $200.  Get 'er while you can!

I became familiar with Sam Flores' work last May when I was searching for the perfect birthday gift for my for my sister by soul, DJ Jazzy Beth (who at the time was preggers with her son).  It was straight-up playadipity when I received an email from the Lab101 Gallery letting me know that this limited edition print was soon to be released!  I've been a HUGE Flores fan ever since!

Art : Apology Accepted!

From ObeyGiant.com...

Apologizes...

First of all we would like to apologize for the delayed release of the Obama Offset last week. Due to the EXTREME amount of volume to our website and webstore our hosting server crashed. We thought we were sufficiently prepared for the release, with upgrades and release times, but to our surprise an exponential amount of buyers came and continued to stay and attempt to access our site which denied even our web administrators access to the site to upload the print. Essentially, we (just as you) waited until traffic died down enough for us to upload the artwork and release the print. The Obama offset was released and SOLD OUT on Friday afternoon. Unfortunately, we do not have anymore to sell and are not taking any special requests for the prints. We are receiving 100’s of emails regarding the print, its release, and availability, so please do not email us unless your inquiry is unrelated. Once again we apologize for the delay and thanks to all that supported our efforts.
