Last weekend Yeva & I (2/3's of Team Bridesmaid) had the pleasure of  hosting a Bachelorette Weekend for our dear friend, Tessa. Tessa & Tim are soon to be wed in the majesty that is Yosemite National Park. I think it's fair to say that I CANNOT WAIT to be up in Nor Cal celebrating TnT's big day.

Tessa, being the inspirational Goddess that she is, brought together 16 of the most phenomenal women I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Despite the 100+ degree temps in 29 Palms we spent the weekend celebrating love, eating delicious food, dancing, hooping/spinning poi, lounging by the pool, creating (masks for TnT's Masquerade Reception) and, most importantly, bonding. Thank you, Tessa, for bringing us all together. I hope your weekend was everything you had hoped for. A huge thanks to all the Beauties who ventured out to the desert for Tessa's send-off into matrimony.  And a ton of love and gratitude goes out Yeva (aka Mama) for taking such good care of us all.

Film: Under God by Richard Farmer

Our friend, Richard, directed this fantastic short film which has been accepted into 35 film festivals across the globe. Farilla and I finally had the pleasure of viewing Under God on the big screen at the First Glance Film Fest in Hollywood where it was recognized for best Art Direction. I couldn't agree more with this honor. The story was great but visually this film was stunning. That said, the sound was stand-out. Bravo, to all of our many friends who collaborated on this project.  I'm still tripping out over the fact that it was shot over the course of a weekend!

I'm grateful that my friends know my door is always open. Ly and Brian were in the hood and decided to stop by to introduce me to their beautiful son Brenden. He's a little bundle of deliciousness. Happy Spectacular Spectacular, Jimmy! It was such a treat to be a part of the many chapters that went into your celebration. And what a celebration, indeed! It's hard to believe that only two short months ago, while driving back from Granite Pass, you told me you hadn't put much thought into how we were going to ring in your New Year. My how quickly things can change...and for the better! MAD LOVE to You, L-bot, Commander, our Musical Magicians and the MANY, MANY Jubilee participants who came out to show their love & support!

Friends: Happy Birthday Amy!

I shot this photo about a year ago (in Seattle's Olympic Sculpture Park) and what a difference a year makes, eh?!  You're preggers AGAIN!  And you live in, yet, another new town.  Pretty soon I'm going to start placing bets on which thing you'll stop doing first...moving or having kids! ;-)

All kidding aside I want to wish you the Happiest of Happy Birthdays.  Love you like crazy, Lady!  Wish I could be there to celebrate with you but with the way you rant and rave about how much you dislike Spokane I think I'll hold off on a visit until you move on to your next destination.
