Life: All good things..
...must come to an end. We've had an incredibly full week! We're taking one more dip in the pool before heading up to Mike & Jaime's newly built vacation home just up the hill a bit from where we've been staying here in Playa Guiones.
Life: Howler Monkeys...
Yesterday afternoon as Farilla, our 3 house mates and I were hanging out in the pool I looked up and spotted a family of Howler Monkeys resting in the shady branches of our massive Jacaranda. The sneaky little monsters were so quiet! We have no idea how long they'd been there but it appeared that they were just as intrigued by us as we were them. Unfortunately I was only able to get a clear shot of this guy once they started moving through this tree with a less dense canopy. However I did get some video. Stay tuned...

Playa Pelada, post-wedding ceremony
I think it's safe to say that last night we witnessed the wedding of the year held right here on this magnificent beach. Picture this: short and sweet sunset ceremony followed by cocktails, dinner, fireworks, the lighting of numerous Thai sky lanterns which drifted off over the Pacific, live music by a funk band flown in from Colorado, a fire/poi dancer and finishing out the night with traditional Costa Rican Mascarada Puppets. So much love. So much fun. Pics to come....

Playa Garza...Revisited
We had an epic travel day yesterday. LAX-->MIA, 3 hour layover then MIA--> LIR. We waited another hour or so at the airport for some friends to land. Our shuttle ride was about 3 hours. Half of which was on a "road" that was about as bumpy as a dried out riverbed. But none of that mattered when we saw this. This lovely beach is a few miles south of where we're staying but it was exactly what we needed at that moment. Pura Vida!

DIY: Air Plants (Tillandsias) In Tarnished Silver
I decided to revamp my indoor air plant (and orchid) garden by displaying them in some up-cycled tarnished silver vessels leftover from our wedding. I love love love the way they look! What do you think?
