Yesterday was an incredibly long day...I'm totally content to put 3/6/08 behind me....Brutal! 

Fortunately my day peaked when this song came on as I was racing out the door (late) to dinner. As soon as I heard it I dropped everything and started dancing around the living room of the Red House (Vida-sitting). At some point I looked up and caught a glimpse in the mirror of what I'm convinced was my first smile of the day.  

Here's to a future of smile-filled days...for me and for you!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

It has come to our attention that a number of forged Banksy prints are currently in circulation. These include 'Rude Copper', 'Laugh Now...', 'Happy Choppers', 'Girl With Balloon' and 'I Fought The Law'. They are screenprinted, numbered and embossed with a replica POW stamp.

The forged prints have been allocated print numbers registered to specific retailers that POW supplied some years ago and are sold alongside bogus receipts from these retailers. Only a handful of these have so far come to our attention and they are easily identified as fake by anyone familiar with POW products, but please be aware that buying prints on the secondary market at bargain prices should be undertaken with extreme caution.

We have passed this matter onto the relevant authorities and are, as always, happy to check the provenance of your print if you contact the office.

Running: Farthest Run Of 2008

Cheviot Hills Loop...closing in on 5 miles.

Mile 1: 6'58"
Mile 2: 7'41" (tall steep hill)
Mile 3: 7'22" (long gradual hill)
Mile 4: 7'08"

Finishing Pace: 6'55"

Very tired...lots of running lately.  It's been two months since I've started training again (after a 4 month break).  On Jan 6th I struggled through 2.28 miles @ a 8'19"/mile pace.  Two months later I'm closing in on 5 miles @ a 7'18"/mile pace. I'd be more excited if I wasn't so tired...whisper w00t! 

Politics: McSame as Bush!

Running: Fastest Loop, 4.5 Miles

I ran the Cheviot Hills Loop again tonight.  This was the first time that I felt noticeably stronger on the Hills.  In fact, I'm feeling stellar right now.  This was my fastest Loop to date but I know I can do better.

The Stats:

Mile 1: 7'17"

Mile 2: 7'46" (tall steep hill)

Mile 3: 7'27" (long gradual hill)

Mile 4: 7'06"

I was just wandering around Westwood Village enjoying another beautiful sunny day in Soul Cal when I stumbled across this print.  It was taped to the side of a metal box which, no doubt, hides very important telephone wires and such.  

This crazy little print (about 11"X16" printed on heavy card stock) jumped right off the side of said box and into my hands!  Shocking, I know...but what could I do?!  I (oops, I mean Mr. Poster) just couldn't help himself!

I suppose Mr. Poster knew that I could guarantee him a MUCH better life hanging framed in my house than he ever would have experienced plastered on the side of a metal box in the Village!  ;)

Mad props to the artist...wish I knew who you were!

Bad Ass!

I had a playadipitous moment last night with regards to this song when I asked some friends if anyone had seen Happy's newest video yet.  Just as I asked the question this song came on..Yep, playadipitous moment, indeed!

This shot was snapped quickly while on a short and sweet hike upon arriving to Yosemite last May after our 6 hour drive from LA.  Still one of my faves from the set.  Good times!  

I've decided to climb Half Dome again this year...it's been a few years since my last trek up there so I'm due for another visit.  Can't wait!

Running: Fastest Mile To Date

Only ran three miles this afternoon but the 2nd mile in this set was my fastest mile pace so far this year(!!!)  So stoked...totally shocked!

Here's the run down...

Mile 1: 7'04"

Mile 2: 6'33"

Mile 3: 6'59"

I seriously feel so slow when I'm running.  Can't get over these numbers.  w00t!
