Two Weeks - Grizzly Bear from Gabe Askew on Vimeo.
This fan made video by Gabe Askew went viral while I was on The Playa. Despite the fact that you've probably already seen it I can't help but post it for you again. Come on, it's worth another viewing...complete eye candy!
Adi, a longtime friend and fellow Slicer just ran across this lovely photo of Shutterillaville (aka The Hut) taken by our BRC neighbor ninjaonmoss. As you can probably tell this was shot pre-event opening. Farilla and I went out early again this year with Ops and Otter to work with Greeters. I love getting into the city early and watching it grow. We heard the population was only around 43,000 this year. Down from about 53,000 in 2008. Going out before the event opens allows you to meet so many more people which in-turn makes the city not seem so large. I really enjoyed riding around during burn week and bumping into people we'd met/greeted during the early days. For a larger view of this image click here.

We've landed at the world famous Erick Schat's Bakkery in Bishop. I've been looking forward to getting a sammie here all week! Mmmm, so good. A bunch of our Homies arrived at the same time along with a ton of other friendly Burners!

You have no idea how badly I want to stick my feet in that little river we're driving along! I'm sure it's freezing, though. On a mission to hit Bishop before Erick Schatz's Bakery closes. Mmmm, dreaming of a super yummy sammie on freshly baked bread!

Just left Reno. On the 395. What a beautiful day!

My 10th year on the Playa was as fantastic as I hoped it would be!
Heading to the Atlantis for the night. Can't wait to shower and then
catch up with the rest of the Homies for dinner. My how quickly these
past two weeks have flown by!
